I have tutored in the past. I tutored an elementary school student who was having trouble in mathematics. I graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA and was in the top five of my class. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy helping people with material that I understand, and I try my hardest to make it easy for others to understand as well. I attended Southwest Virginia Governor's School for Math, Science, and Technology my junior in senior years where I took rigorous college courses in high school. Each high school only had a hand full of students selected, and I was selected from my high school due to my academic standing and my involvement in other areas around the school. I was a member of the National Honor Society and served as president of the math club, Mu Alpha Theta, my senior year.
